The San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site enjoys engaging and working with descendant stakeholders who are interested in and support the site’s development planning and operations. Please let us know if you fall into one of the following descendant categories and would like to be part of a stakeholder database for genealogical contacts:
Descendant of a settler in Austin’s Colony, Mexican Texas (any of the five settlement contracts prior to Texas independence)
Descendant of an early citizen of the town of San Felipe de Austin (whether they obtained a land grant in Austin’s Colony or not)
Descendant of Moses Austin (this extant line comes through Stephen F. Austin’s sister, Emily Austin Bryan/Emily Austin Perry)
